Coro San Marco was founded in 1995 and is composed of about 50 members who share a love for choral music. 
The choir has a vast repertoire of folk, classical, religious and operatic music, performed extensively at many events. 
One of the most recent is its participation in a 350-voice choir performing in the closing ceremony for the City of Toronto Olympic bid at Roy Thompson Hall. 
The choir has incorporated the Esprit Alliance Orchestra conducted by Louie Calleja. 
Various performances are planned throughout the year. 
In December 2002 and October 2004, the choir joined the visiting Nova Amadeus Orchestra from Rome, Italy for three successful performances. 
In August 2004, Coro San Marco and the world-renowned choir from Italy “Gioventu' in Cantata” performed several concerts together. Among the mandates of the choir is the promotion of a better knowledge of Italian music in Canada and the performance support of Italian-Canadian composers and performers. In June 2006 Coro San Marco participate in th" le Mondial Choral Lot-Quebec " in Montreal with acclaimed success . Also recently the choir has performed many concerts with the Opera York Orchestra and solos and the Cambridge Community Orchestra.
The group released its first CD “Va’ Pensiero/Longing Spirit” in 2001. With the contribution of the Trillium Foundation, it released a second CD in 2004 “Addio Patria Mia/Farewell My Homeland”, a collection of songs that tell the story of immigration. 
Under the direction of Daniele Colla, Coro San Marco is a charitable organization, a member of Choirs Ontario and of the Italian National Congress.
